SPRING VIEW OF MOUNT TAMALPAIS

Today's painting with the EBLandscape Monday group. I am painting a series of Mount Tam views. The Marin mountain is visible from so many Bay Area locations that it makes a fun series. This view was from high up in the hills of Kensington in the beautiful Blake Gardens. I looked at some early California landscape paintings at the Oakland Museum yesterday and was thinking about more expressive brush work and shapes.
