These volunteers were growing in the garden, so I put a few in an old Chinese bottle. This is an alla prima painting- done quickly, in one session.

the best thing about poppies is the light through the petals. You did a terrific job capturing that! A lovely painting.
The colors in this one sort of blow me away, and the way the blue is loosely brushed over the underpainting. Do more like this one!
